An office phone booth gives one person a quiet, ventilated place for calls and video meetings inside an open-plan floor; a meeting pod does the same for a team. Re-Sound's booths are manufactured in our own plant in Częstochowa (Poland), delivered and installed by our own team at fixed prices within mainland Europe, with a 5-year structural warranty (Solo ECO: 5-year spare-part warranty). The booth range has four models. Solo ECO is the entry model: a one-person booth with a standing table, a country-specific socket with USB-A and USB-C (socket only for Denmark), ventilation up to 4 m³/min and a closed or glass back wall. Solo Flex is the one-person office phone booth: a 1 m² footprint, a sit-stand desk, 230 V and USB-C power, silent EC fans and a 24 dB(A) speech level reduction measured under ISO 23351-1. Duo is the two-person acoustic phone booth with two configurations — Flex for a two-seat conversation, Work for one person with a full-width desk. Modular XL is the acoustic meeting pod for six to ten people: the base unit extends in 90 cm segments and reaches 25.9 dB(A) speech level reduction. Solo Flex, Duo and Modular XL carry the 5-year structural warranty and Solo ECO the 5-year spare-part warranty; all four are delivered EU-wide. How much quieter is an office phone booth?
Speech level reduction is measured under ISO 23351-1: Solo Flex reaches about 24 dB(A) and Modular XL 25.9 dB(A), both Class C under the standard (A+ ≥ 33, A ≥ 30, B ≥ 27, C ≥ 24, D ≥ 21 dB(A)). In a typical open-plan office that keeps a normal call from being intelligible outside the booth.
Do acoustic phone booths need a power connection?
Yes — each booth plugs into a standard 230 V socket for lighting, ventilation and the desk outlets (Schuko plus USB-C PD 60 W). Solo Flex draws about 80 W in use. Solo ECO has one country-specific socket with USB-A and USB-C (socket only on the Danish version) and draws 22 W in use.
How is a privacy pod ventilated?
Silent EC fans exchange the air continuously — 4.6 m³/min in Solo Flex, 9.2 in Duo and 18.4 in the Modular XL base unit — controlled by an occupancy sensor so the booth is fresh when someone walks in.
Which meeting pod fits six people or more?
Modular XL: the base unit seats six and each 90 cm segment adds capacity up to ten, with A/V provisions and a wide step-free door.
What are the lead time and warranty for a phone booth?
Solo ECO takes 4 weeks of production and carries a 5-year spare-part warranty. Solo Flex and Duo ship 4–6 weeks from order, Modular XL 6–8 weeks for the base unit; custom fabrics add 2–3 weeks. The structural warranty is 5 years, electronics 2 years, with EU-wide delivery and installation available.
How much sound does an office phone booth block?
Solo Flex reduces speech level by approximately 24 dB(A) according to ISO 23351-1, which places it in Class C: a conversation outside the booth sounds like distant murmuring inside. Modular XL achieves 25.9 dB(A), also Class C.
What is the difference between a phone booth and a meeting pod?
The main difference is size: a phone booth is designed for one person, while a meeting pod is designed for two or more people. Most meeting pods seat two or four people. With our modular version, a meeting pod can be extended to seat as many people as you need.
How much does an office phone booth cost?
The Solo ECO office phone booth starts from €2,740 excl. VAT and the Solo Flex from €4,118.75 excl. VAT. The Duo meeting pod starts from €7,612.50 excl. VAT, and Modular XL from €13,781.25 excl. VAT for the base module, plus €5,118.75 per extra 90 cm element. Prices are ex works. Transport within mainland Europe and installation by our own team are fixed amounts per model: Solo ECO €300 transport and €875 installation, Solo Flex €500 and €1,245, Duo €500 and €1,245, Modular XL €750 and €1,645 for the main module plus €1,245 per extra element, all excl. VAT; outside mainland Europe transport is quoted. The largest Modular XL built so far seats 20 people.
What does ISO 23351-1 Class A, B or C mean?
ISO 23351-1 measures how much a booth reduces the level of speech between inside and outside, and groups the result into classes: A+ from 33 dB, A from 30 dB, B from 27 dB, C from 24 dB and D from 21 dB. Solo Flex (approximately 24 dB(A)) and Modular XL (25.9 dB(A)) are both Class C. In practice, Class C turns a normal conversation into distant murmuring: clearly quieter, but not inaudible.
Does a phone booth need ventilation, and how loud is it?
Yes: a phone booth is a closed space, so ventilation is essential for good air quality. Every Re-Sound booth and meeting pod is ventilated. Electrical models use our silent EC-fan system, which moves 4.6 m³ of air per minute in the Solo Flex.
Can a booth be moved to another floor or office?
Yes. Every booth uses a flat-pack construction, so it can be demounted and rebuilt on another floor or in another office. Taking a booth apart and rebuilding it is quick and straightforward.
How long does installation take, and who does it?
Re-Sound's own installers place your booth: a call booth takes around 60 minutes, a meeting pod around two hours and a Modular XL between two and six hours. Installation by Re-Sound costs €875 for Solo ECO, €1,245 for Solo Flex, €1,245 for Duo and €1,645 for the main module of Modular XL plus €1,245 per extra element, excl. VAT. Alternatively, the Solo Flex can be self-assembled: two people need less than three hours.
What is the warranty on a booth?
Every booth comes with a 5-year warranty on the structural frame and body, and a 2-year warranty on electronic components and other wear parts.
What happens to a booth at the end of its life?
A booth that is no longer needed can be resold to another party or dismantled for recycling. Because it is built as a flat-pack kit, it can be taken apart into its separate materials, each of which is recyclable. Our acoustic panels are taken back free of charge in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
