rWood Perf: perforated wood acoustic panels

Precision perforations, maximum absorption.

Round perforations drilled through the veneered, fire-retardant MDF panel let sound pass into the acoustic fleece and the absorber behind it. Four patterns, from a discreet 5 mm hole to a double 8 mm pattern with 24 % open area.

Each panel is cut to your drawings, up to 3 050 × 1 220 mm and 10 or 19 mm thick, for walls and ceilings. Choose one of the eight stock veneers or order any veneer and finish.

PROVEN PERFORMANCE

The larger the open area, the higher the absorption

rWood Perf is a veneered, fire-retardant MDF panel with round perforations drilled through it. Sound passes through the holes into the acoustic fleece and the cavity behind the panel, where it is absorbed.

Four patterns let you choose between absorption and discretion: from a discreet 5 mm hole with 5 % open area to the double 8 mm pattern PD8 with 24 % open area.

PD8 is the standard pattern and the one behind the headline figures. PH10, PH8 and PH5 and other perforation patterns (hole size, spacing, open area) are made on request from your drawing.

Core colour

A light or dark FR MDF core, visible through the holes: match it to the veneer to make the perforations blend in, or contrast it for a graphic effect.

Eight stock veneers, any veneer to order

Perforations cut straight through the veneer, so grain and colour matter twice: on the face and around every hole. All eight stock veneers are FSC®-certified; as wood is a natural material, panels differ from one to the next and the swatches on screen only give an impression.

Concealed clip system for walls and ceilings

Metal rails, mineral wool in the cavity, then the panels clip on without tools and without gaps, the perforation pattern running on from panel to panel.

From your drawings

rWood Perf is made to measure for walls and ceilings: from 100 × 100 mm up to 3 050 × 1 220 mm, in 10 and 19 mm, in any of the four patterns.

Custom dimensions

From a 100 × 100 mm infill to a full 3 050 × 1 220 mm sheet, each perforated panel is cut to the dimensions on your drawings.

Any veneer and finish

Eight stock veneers; any other veneer species, stain colour and finish to order.

Free veneer samples

Real wood varies in colour and grain. Ask for samples before you specify.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the FSC-certified veneer come from?

Every veneer we drill for rWood Perf is FSC®-certified under chain-of-custody certificate C191539. The eight stock veneers come from forests in Europe, Scandinavia and North America; ask us for the certificate with your quote.

What is the fire rating?

With its fire-retardant MDF core, rWood Perf is classified B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1. The panel is intended for interior, dry areas.

What is the standard lead time?

A perforated panel in a stock veneer leaves the plant 3–4 weeks after your order; a species we do not keep in stock, or a custom finish, needs 6–8 weeks. Every panel is drilled and cut to your drawings.

How are rWood panels installed?

With a concealed clip system: metal rails on the wall or ceiling structure, mineral wool in the cavity, then the panels clip on without tools and without gaps, so the perforation pattern runs on from panel to panel.

What happens to the panels at end of life?

At the end of their life, rWood Perf panels come back to us: the take-back is free of charge in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
