Precision Perforations, Maximum Absorption

rWood - Perf panels are one of the most effective and widely used solutions for acoustic walls and ceilings. The precisely drilled round perforations create a large open area that guarantees high levels of sound absorption, while premium wood veneer ensures a natural, warm appearance.

Combined with a Fire Retardant Medium Density Fiberboard core and over-veneered edges for seamless joints, these panels are engineered for the highest demands in large public spaces—from atriums and concert halls to offices and schools.

  • Fire-retardant MDF core (B-s1,d0)
  • Over-veneered edges for seamless joints
  • Light or dark core for pattern discretion
  • Custom formats up to 3050 × 1220 mm

Choose Your Pattern

Four drilled perforation patterns with calibrated acoustic properties. From maximum open area for demanding acoustic spaces to more discreet patterns that prioritize visual refinement.

Core Colour

Match the core to your veneer to make perforations blend in, or choose a contrasting core for a decorative effect.

Premium Wood Surfaces

Every rWood - Perf panel is produced with over-veneered edges—a traditional manufacturing technique where solid wood edging is integrated around the panel before veneering. This gives each panel the appearance of being entirely of wood, with seamless joints across large surfaces.

Nature Veneers

Lively variations and characteristic expression associated with each wood species.

Gemini Veneers

Even colour tone and structure for a more harmonious, uniform appearance.

Engineered for Sound

Precision-drilled perforations allow sound waves to enter the panel and pass through to the cavity behind. Combined with mineral wool insulation, rWood - Perf delivers outstanding broadband absorption across the full frequency spectrum—from low bass to high treble.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the FSC-certified veneer come from?

Veneer is sourced from FSC-certified European forests (predominantly oak and walnut). The chain-of-custody certificate number is provided per delivery on request.

What is the fire rating?

With the fire-retardant (FR) MDF core, rWood panels are classified B-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1 — the core we specify for escape routes and public buildings. The fire certificate is in the downloads block on this page.

What is the standard lead time?

Stock veneers ship within 3–4 weeks; non-stock species and custom finishes require 6–8 weeks. Production capacity is reserved at order confirmation.

How are rWood panels installed?

Two methods are supported: a hidden clip system for fast install and easy removal, or direct glue-fixing for permanent installations. Both are detailed in the installation manual.

What happens to the panels at end of life?

Re-Sound takes panels back free of charge across BE/NL/FR/DE/LU. The veneer is separated from the recycled-felt substrate; both streams re-enter our supply chain rather than going to landfill.
