Nature, refined

rWood Panel brings the warmth and character of real wood into a prefinished, ready-to-use format: an A-grade veneer on an MDF core, finished in the factory. The same twelve veneers run across the whole rWood range, so smooth panels, Groove, Micro and Perf match on one wall.

Veneer, core, balancing veneer

Every layer serves a purpose, from the real-wood surface to the engineered core.

    Veneer face

    A-grade real-wood veneer, one of twelve stock veneers or any veneer to order, finished in the factory.

  2. 02

    MDF core

    Standard, moisture-resistant (MR) or fire-retardant (FR) MDF; core colour brown, green or black.

  3. 03

    Balancing veneer

    A veneer on the back keeps the panel flat and stable.

VENEERS

Twelve real-wood veneers

Six oaks from pale to near-black and six premium species: walnut, ash, beech and birch. Available across the rWood range, and any other veneer, stain colour or finish made to order.

Any other veneer, stain, pigment and finish on request. Swatch images are indicative: natural veneers vary in grain, colour and figure, and tones shift under different lighting and lacquers. Always confirm against a physical sample.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the FSC-certified veneer come from?

All rWood veneers are FSC®-certified, chain-of-custody certificate C191539, and come from responsibly managed forests. The certificate is available on request.

What is the fire rating?

It depends on the core. With the fire-retardant (FR) MDF core, rWood panels are classified B-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1; on a standard MDF core the classification is D-s2,d0. Specify the FR core for escape routes and public buildings.

What is the standard lead time?

The lead time depends on the veneer and finish and is confirmed on order. Free veneer samples are available before you specify; prices and the minimum order on request.

How are rWood panels installed?

rWood Panel is a smooth veneered MDF panel and is processed like one: sawn and CNC-machined with standard woodworking tools, then fixed to the substrate or built into furniture. The installation guide is in the downloads block on this page.

What happens to the panels at end of life?

Re-Sound takes the panels back free of charge at end of life in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
