Office phone booth prices and ISO 23351-1 classes explained (2026)
Office phone booth prices: Solo Flex from €4,118.75 excl. VAT. Plus ISO 23351-1 classes, ventilation, placement and lead time, from the manufacturer.

An office phone booth from Re-Sound costs from €4,118.75 excl. VAT; installation by our own team adds €1,245 and transport within mainland Europe €500. That is the price of Solo Flex, our acoustic phone booth for one person. Here is what that covers, which size to choose, what the ISO 23351-1 classes mean and what to check before you order, from the manufacturer.
What does an office phone booth cost in 2026?
In September 2026, published prices for a one-person acoustic phone booth run from €2,990 to €9,320 excl. VAT (one competitor quotes net):
| Booth | Supplier | Price excl. VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Solo Flex | Re-Sound | €4,118.75 without installation · installation €1,245 |
| One-person booth | Competitor 1 | €2,990 net |
| One-person booth | Competitor 2 | €3,990 excl. VAT |
| One-person booth | Competitor 3 | €9,320 excl. VAT |
Re-Sound prices are in euros excl. VAT; transport within mainland Europe is a fixed €500 per Solo Flex, and outside mainland Europe we quote it with the order confirmation.
Solo Flex sits between Competitor 2 and Competitor 3 in this comparison; we build it ourselves. Re-Sound is a Stretch Group brand. We manufacture in our own plants in Beveren-Waas (Belgium) and Częstochowa (Poland).
For two people, Duo starts at €7,612.50 excl. VAT; transport within mainland Europe is €500 and installation €1,245. For four to ten people, Modular XL starts at €13,781.25 excl. VAT without installation, plus €5,118.75 per additional 90 cm element; transport within mainland Europe is €750 and installation by our own team €1,645 for the main module plus €1,245 per extra element. One extra element: €13,781.25 + €5,118.75 excl. VAT.
What is included in the price, and what is not
Solo Flex comes as standard with:
- Ventilation with four EC fans, 4.6 m³ of air per minute, switched by a PIR motion sensor.
- A 230 V socket and USB-C inside the booth.
- LED lighting on the same sensor.
- Warranty: five years on the structural frame and body, two years on electronics and wear parts.
The price without installation excludes carrying the booth to your floor and assembling it. Two people do that in under three hours, or our team does it in about an hour for €1,245 excl. VAT. Wheelchair access is not standard on any booth, but can be modified on request.
Which size: 1, 2 or 4–10 people
Size follows from what goes wrong on the floor, not from what would fit. Count the colleagues on a call at the same moment at peak hours; that is your number of one-person booths.
One person (Solo Flex, 1 m²). A privacy pod for calls, video meetings and focused work.
Two people (Duo, 2 m²). For a one-to-one conversation or two colleagues dialling into the same call. With a 230 V socket and an electric desk; no ISO 23351-1 measurement yet.
Four to ten people (Modular XL). A meeting pod as a room within a room, extendable in 90 cm elements (base module up to four people, each element adds two, up to ten with three elements), with full audio and video provisions; the largest built so far seats twenty.
Acoustics: what the ISO 23351-1 classes mean
The number that matters for an acoustic phone booth is its speech level reduction to ISO 23351-1 in dB(A): how much quieter speech is outside than inside. The classes:
| Class | Speech level reduction | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| A+ | ≥ 33 dB | not audible outside the booth |
| A | ≥ 30 dB | barely audible |
| B | ≥ 27 dB | a muffled murmur, not intelligible |
| C | ≥ 24 dB | a distant murmur, not intelligible |
| D | ≥ 21 dB | audible, fragments intelligible |
Solo Flex achieves about 24 dB(A), Class C; Modular XL 25.9 dB(A), also Class C. For calls and video meetings in an open-plan office that solves the problem: colleagues hear a distant murmur but no words. For confidential meetings right next to a busy floor, choose a higher class or a closed room, and check the exact requirement with your acoustician.
Ask every supplier for the ISO 23351-1 test report.
Ventilation, light and power
After acoustics, ventilation decides whether a booth gets used: a stuffy booth ends up with its door open. Every Re-Sound booth is ventilated; the electrical models use a silent EC-fan system.
- Air change: Solo Flex encloses at most 1.02 × 1.02 × 2.26 = 2.35 m³ (outer dimensions); at 4.6 m³/min that is replaced every 2.35 / 4.6 = 0.51 minutes, roughly every 30 seconds.
- Control: one PIR sensor switches fans and LED lighting when you step in.
- Power: 230 V and USB-C inside, so nothing trails through the door.
Placement: six checks before you order
- Height: 2,260 mm for Solo Flex; allow clearance under ceilings, sprinklers and lights.
- Footprint and door swing: 1,020 × 1,020 mm plus room to open the door and walk past.
- Floor loading: 280 kg on 1 m², so 280 kg/m²; mention it if you have a raised access floor.
- Socket: an ordinary socket within cable reach; no building work.
- Location: near the people who make the most calls, not beside the coffee point or on a walkway.
- Moving later: assembled on site, it comes apart like a flat-pack kit and moves to another floor or building.
Booth or panels? A worked example
A phone booth solves one person talking; it does not shorten the reverberation of the whole floor, which is a job for acoustic panels. ISO 22955 (acoustic quality of open-plan offices) and ISO 3382-3 (how speech decays over distance) set the direction, and BS 8233 is the British guidance on sound insulation and noise reduction for buildings; check the exact requirement with your acoustician.
Example: an open-plan office of 240 m² × 3 m = 720 m³, measured reverberation time 1.2 s, target 0.7 s. Sabine's formula A = 0.161 × V / T:
- A today = 0.161 × 720 / 1.2 = 96.6 m² Sabine
- A target = 0.161 × 720 / 0.7 = 165.6 m² Sabine
- To add: 165.6 − 96.6 = 69.0 m² Sabine
With 12 mm rPET acoustic panels on a 100 mm air cavity (αw 0.80, absorption class B to ISO 11654) that is 69.0 / 0.80 = 86 m² of panels on ceiling and walls, a first estimate; check the exact requirement with your acoustician. The booth comes on top, not instead.
Buying from the manufacturer: lead time, installation and end of life
Standard configurations ship four to six weeks after order confirmation. Installation is yours or ours: about an hour for a single booth, around two hours for a meeting pod, two to six hours for Modular XL.
At end of life the booth can be resold or dismantled for recycling; every material is recyclable. Panels we take back free of charge in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
Solo Flex, Duo and Modular XL stand in our showroom in Beveren-Waas, Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30 by appointment; see where to buy. Request a quote for Solo Flex through the contact page, or compare all models first in the phone booth price guide.
